My name is COL Frank Wiercinski. I'm the Commander of Task Force Rakkasan from the 101st Airborne Division, out here in Afghanistan.
Can't thank you enough for all you have done for our soldiers and our families - God Bless ya.
I can't believe I'm going to miss this fantastic show.
When I get back, I hope you will allow me the priviledge of making you an Honorary Rakkasan! Again, doesn't mean much to anyone outside our family - but it means the world to us. We have a rich and proud history and continue to make it out here with these great soldiers. Makes us proud to be doing our part out here as you do your part back home.
I also wanted to thank you for who you are and what you do for soldiers like us everyday. "All The Unsung Heroes", is an award winning song and documentary - but to us, its much more that - its from the heart, its about our comrades, and in turn, its about us.
We've got the Afghanistan Chapter of the Lane Brody Fan Club going out here!!
Thanks again,
and God bless you.
Frank

Lane is now a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame. She received her Star on the Walkway of Stars for her many accomplishments in the country music field. The Country Music Hall of Fame is located in Nashville, Tn. She is proud to be part of such a incredible legacy. Her "Star" is next to the legendary Burl Ives, and when you think about legends such as Patsy Cline, Roy Rogers, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, it's needless to say we are all proud of Lane, and commend the foundation for honoring her. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Lane graciously received the plaque honoring her for her well deserved induction into the hall of fame. It was presented to her by the President of the Country Music Foundation, Bill Ivey, pictured here with Lane.
As always, Lane took time to meet the fans, and sign autographs for them.

Allison came and shared her wonderful talent on Lane's Cd, "Pieces of Life" (copyright 2001/2005). Lane and Allison sounded like angels on a song that Lane wrote entitled, "White Shadows".
