GOD THE FATHER

ETERNAL GOD

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

GOD THE FATHER

In God, there is no beginning and no ending. His Word reveals to us that He is the only Infinite and Eternal being. He has no beginning and no ending and
is the creator and sustainer of all things. God is the
Supreme Personal Intelligence and the Righteous Ruler of His universe.

God is Life, and the only source of life. Jesus said,
"For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself"..John 5:26
God the Father was the source of life in Jesus.

It is asking a lot of some to take the above by faith.
Afterall, we are natural and carnal beings and our
limited wisdom cannot know God just by reading a
passage of writings by someone who says There IS
a God; He IS; He is Eternal therefore He is God
Supreme through countless ages before and after
our time of mortality.

God is a person but we cannot know Him except by
revelation. The Prophets were God's source of
revelation in Old Testament times. There was a time
when God spoke to His people, the Israelites. His
voice would thunder from above with His love and
guiding laws for their health, welfare, and joy of life.
But they got tired of hearing His voice and told Him
they no longer wanted to hear Him. So, he gave
them what they wanted. Just as He gives to us when
we keep denying Him and telling Him that we have
no room for Him in our life. He doesn't force Himself
on anyone, regardless of the love He has for them.

In the New Testament, God revealed Himself to
mankind through His Son Jesus Christ. In Hebrews
chapter 1, V 1-3 we find these words."God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3) Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

Through His Son, Jesus Christ, God would reveal
Himself to the world!! God was called the Majesty
on high. We think of kings and say, "Your Majesty"..
but there is Majesty beyond the kingships of men!

Throughout the Bible we read about God but there
is no place in the Bible that attempts to prove His
existance. It does not argue the point. It merely
states what was, what is, and what is to come. "He
that cometh to God must believe that He is". Hebrews
11:6. Writers of both the Old and New Testaments
took the existance of God as a fact and didn't
question the validity of their belief.

The Bible begins: "In the beginning God"...Gen 1:1
The opening of the Bible announces the sublime fact
of God and His existance. If one wanted to argue
the fact of His existance, there are plenty of points
they could make for their case, but there isn't the
"proof" that is needed to satisfy some minds. You
can show all the realms of nature and examine each
of them and come to the conclusion that surely there
is a Supreme Power of Intelligence up there somewhere! But, those who don't want to believe
are not going to be easily persuaded by it all.

Belief in God comes from within ourselves. We were
created in His image, and without Him we have a
void in our soul which blinds our eyes, hardens our
hearts, and closes our ears. Always striving to fill
that void; and never quiet succeeding.

God is very real. He has a personality. He IS a
personality! He is called "the living and true God"...
Thessalonians 1:9 "For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how
ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;"

God loves! "God so loved the world that He gave His
only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should have everlasting life and not perish"..Jn 3:16
What father would send His ONLY son into a world
much like what we have today, and say, Look,
you can crucify Him to save your wicked world! I love
you all so much, I'm turning Him over to you to die
for everybody!

God also Hates: For a long period of time, all of our
churches kept teaching only that "God is Love" and
because God is Love, this won't happen and that
won't happen...But god does hate! He is not all love.

Proverbs 6:16-19 This is also sometimes refered to
as the seven deadly sins. "These six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him: a proud look; a lying tongue; and hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that deviseth wicket imaginations; feet that be swift in running to mischief;
a false witness that speaketh lies; and he that soweth
discord among brethren."

God Cares for Us! 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the might hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you".

God also Grieves: Genesis 6:5-6 "And God saw that
the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and
that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his
heart". This he said before the great flood.

If God loves, cares, hates, and grieves, then He must
be a personality just like you and I are! Only a
pesonality can be these things. Therefore, God must
be a living, eternal, personal being!!

So Who is God then? What about His nature?
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love"...In God's divine compassion, His
nature is love.

But God is also Light. 1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. V 6 "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth".

God is also a Consuming Fire: Hebrews 12:29 "For
our God is a comsuming fire." This is His nature in
His divine Holiness.

God is a Spirit: In John 4:24 Jesus said: "God is a
Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth".

We can now see that God isn't this all Loving God.
When He created man in His (Their) image, He
didn't create us to "look" like Him, but to BE like Him.
We, too, are a Spirit. Our body is a mere dwelling
place for that which is US inside it. Our bodies will
return to dust, but we will go right on living!

These attributes i have listed reveal God's nature.
It is through these attributes that His Holy nature is
unveiled, such as:

Life is attributed to Him: Again in John 5:26: For as
the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself". (Jesus' words)..In
Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image; in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them". In Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord god formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became
a living soul." (Spirit)

All knowledge is ascribed to God: Psalms 147:5
"Great is our Lord, and of great power; his understanding is infinite."

All Power is ascribed to God: Revelations 19:6
"And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude; and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for "the Lord God"
omnipotent reigneth." (all powerful)

God fills the universe with His presence; Psalms
139:7-10 "Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell,
behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me".

God is everywhere present, however He is NOT in
everything present. If He were then we could
worship any object and would be worshiping Him.
But He is a Spirit, not an object. Because He is a
Spirit, we must worship Him in spirit. He is a Spirit
that fills the universe with His Majestic Presence.

God is Grace: (unearned favor) Ephesians 2:8 "For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God". Grace is the love
and mercy of God in action. To show mercy in love
is called "grace".

The grace of God saves forever: Romans 8:38,39
The grace of God is unconditional; we are not saved
on the condition that we do good works or any
other deed...The only thing that we have to do to
reap our unmerited favor (grace) is to believe in His
Son and call upon His name from our heart, not our
head.

There is no discrimination in God's love or mercy.
this grace is extended to everyone of every color of
every nation; of every beleif; of every social status.

From the pauper to the elite; from the murderer to
the prostitute...and all those in between. We are
justified through His grace and His grace is
sufficient for us. His grace makes every believer an
heir to His riches in glory along with His only Son.
By His grace, He adopts us into His family and
calls us His Children, just as Jesus is His son.

The grace of God is His abounding love for mankind;
He expressed His unlimited love toward us when He
sent His Son to be crucified in payment for our
penalty for sin which is death. Not any of us deserve
the love and mercy of God but He extends it to
every sinner. He does not force us to love Him, or
to accept His Son as our Saviour. He created us
with a "free will"...therefore, the choice is ours.

The phrase "right to choose" is very common today.
There are those fighting to make "your right to choose"
a law in every community, town, city, and state. You
don't have to defend your right to choose with God.
He gives you that right freely.

God the Father is One of the Trinity. God the
Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit. We
must learn about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Our
eternal life is invested in all three. We worship one
God in three. Don't worry if you don't understand it.
One day you will. Just accept it by faith until you do.

We cannot believe in One without the others, nor
can our Christian walk and journey be complete
without the knowledge, belief, and fellowship with
the Holy Divine Trinity.
