Some once said: SHOW ME WHERE GOD IS.
The reply was: SHOW ME WHERE GOD IS NOT!
IN THE BEGINNING, God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis Ch l V 1

IN SEARCH OF GOD
|
Where does the unbeliever or the agnostic
begin his search for God? Usually, the doubt of
God's existance begins and ends with all of the
turmoils and trials of one's life...a great let down
or, the tattered experience of influences on their life have left them with a void in their heart that cries out for proof of a God that they can't believe
exists. They look in all of the wrong places
and many a Christian overlook the existance of
the God they believe in, and take it all for granted.
'IN THE BEGINNING God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1,2 and Psalm 33:6-9..By the
word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: he layeh up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all of the inhabitants
of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
Is it easier to believe in "The Big Boom" theory?
Does common sense convince us that eons ago
there was a big atom boom and from the particles of that big boom there came into being all of the
elements of the universe?
Somehow, the big Boom created the beautiful
stars that hang in the sky without falling to the
earth! They don't fall because this big Boom
also created what we know as gravity! It made
the moon and made it to shine only at night
because this big atom explosion placed it in just
the right position of the heavens. The big boom
created the sun which gives us light and warmth.
Amazing, isn't it? That such an "accident"
could make everything so perfectly balanced and
right? and more amazingly is how such an
accidental burst of atom power could create such
a permanent existance and place for all things.
Be honest, now, I tell myself. Is this theory
easier to believe than the one above from the
book of Genesis and Psalms? No, I can't
imagine such an accident creating such a place
as this world in the midst of wide open skies
with millions of perfectly balanced stars as far
as the telescope can see...a sun that never fails
to come up in the East and go down in the West.
A world that never loses a second of time as it
rotates on it's axis and shadows the moon so
precisely that men have been recording it's full
ness or lack thereof since the beginning of time.
Neither can I imagine the perfection of every
tree, flower, blade of grass, rippling brook, or the glimmering of gold in the crease of a hillside.
My eyes upward show me the perfectly
created birds of the air and their amazing ability
to fly mid air for miles on end; their vision so
enhanced that they can spot the seeds on the
ground where they can light and eat.
In the midst of the forest the squirrels scamper
for acorns. So amazing that they know exactly
what they are doing and they know to prepare
for the winter ahead when food will be scarce.
A universe of happen chance, with so much
perfection, doesn't make any sense to me. It
seems much more likely that if it were such a
universe that all animals would be able to climb
trees, or not climb them; that all would be more
alike than so different in nature and stature.
They would all eat the same types of food and
seek refuge in the same manner.
The scampering of rabbits into a brush pile as
danger approaches or the cat climbing the
nearest tree to escape the chasing dog;
Horses, both male and female? Cows, sheep,
hogs, and goats. All bearing both male and
female among them!
Amazing that they do have one thing in common; these animals of the earth. All of the
females make milk for their babies.
How come, I wonder, if this world is all just a
great big "accident" of some kind; or made up of
unknown spores of some kind...how come it is
all planned so perfectly?
Why is there male and female in every living
thing that walks our earth? And why can't the
"males" have the babies? Why are there male
and female trees? Why do they have to be
sexed in order to have fruit?
Is it a co-incidence that some animals have
fur and others have hair? That some have long
flowing manes or tales and others don't?
Impressive accidents of millions of years ago?
Even the oceans and rivers have such a
diversity of life that to list them would be futile.
At least for this writer.
Why does a beaver build dams in the water
and foxes build fox holes?
In search of God, I thought I might just prove
that He was a myth and did not exist except in
the minds of superstitious people and fanatics.
But, yet where ever I go, I come up with all of
these questions!! How can I put them into the
teachings of so many scientists and atheists?
To me, their theories just don't hold water!
they do not stand the test of examination of the
evidence. And I haven't even considered the
animal of mankind.
Evolution? One theory taught to a great
extent. If people evolved from the monkey
family, then I guess the other animals must
have evolved from some form of monkey.
But if this is true; we evolved from the ape
or monkey; where did they come from?
And what came first, the chicken or the egg?
The acorn or the oak tree? The baby or the
mama and papa? There can't be a chicken
without an egg nor a tree without a seed; and
there can't be an adult without the baby first.
Neither can there be an egg without the chicken;
an acorn without the oak tree; nor the baby without the mama and papa.
I looked around at the beautiful skies both
day and night and drove
through the country side with fields and forests;
I stood amazed at the miracles of all that were
around me and I gasped in awe at the wonder
ment of it all.
I stood upon the earth and realized that there
was just enough top soil where I stood for the
lush, green grass to grow...and realized that
below the soil was solid rock. And within that rock there were provisions of oil and clear water; there abounded the jewels of diamonds and other stones; there was coal for heat to be mined and salt and saltpeter to be mined.
The miracle of all of these that I beheld seemed to amaze me even more as I realized that it
would take a greater amount of faith for me to
believe all of the secular theories about the
creation of man and the universe...a LOT more
faith to believe in that than to believe in an ALL
POWERFUL GOD.
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth".
The evidence is all around us to examine every
day. I cannot provide any other proof that God
exists. Scientists cannot prove he doesn't
exist, though they try to rationalize their ideas.
Actually, there have been many who have set
forth to prove that there is no God and that
Jesus Christ was not who He said He was..and
have ended up believing on the Lord Jesus
Christ as their Lord and Saviour in their attempt
to disprove Him.
On the first day, God said, "Let there be light"
and God called the light day and the darkness
he called night.
On the second day, God said, "Let there be a
firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. and God
called the firmament Heaven...
On the third day, God said: "Let the waters under
the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear"
And God called the dry land earth and the gathering together of the waters, Seas;
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed
is in itself, upon the the earth; -----------and the
tree yielding fruit of it's kind.....
And on the fourth day God said: "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. ..........and
God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.
It is amazing that God created all of
the needs of beast and man and foul and sea
life before their existance. It is also amazing
that God spoke the existance of animal life of
sea and air into being on the fifth day and the
animal life of the earth on the sixth day.
After all of these things that God spoke into
existance, He had a different plan for man in
the second half of the sixth day.
God didn't SPEAK man into existance, but
rather man was created in His image and in
His likeness to have dominion over all that He
had spoke into being. Male and Female created
he them! From the dust of the earth that He had spoke into existance, God created man and then breathed life into him; he then made woman from a rib of man. Which is why man has one less rib than woman.
And provision for every need of man, beast,
fowl, animal of water or land was made.
