HELLO, I"M LOUISE

Hello, Friends;
(This page last edited Aug 10, 2001)

My name is Louise and I hope you enjoy the
articles I have written and the links I have provided here for you. I have a series of articles
lined up to get written and/or transfered to this
home page so check back often to see if any has
been added.
I have a Small Interactive Bible Study for those
who are interested in getting to know Jesus
better as a "person" as well as their "Saviour"...
The study reviews begin with Luke 4 on here and
I will continue to add to this. NOTE: Since I
wrote this, I have had to give up my study for
awhile. A dear Sister in Christ, Debbie, is
handling the study for me. So many wonderful
people in the study group!! And all learning to
love Jesus even more and learning more about
Him and God's Word.

I was born in Linton, Indiana on April 19, 1930.
Was raised in MO, though, but have lived in
several states since I graduated from high school in 1947 at Rogersville, MO. I believe there were
a total of 30 in my graduating class!! Times do
change, huh?

I was saved and baptised when I was 13 (I
think...can't recall the month!) Was baptised in
Pierson Creek East of Springfield, MO and I
soon felt the calling to "teach"....Not having much
of a "church" family, although I attended on
Sunday mornings where ever we lived. Some times I would walk as far as 3 miles to church.
(as well as school!)...So, when I graduated,
instead of taking my exam which would of
enabled me to teach the following fall in an
elementary school and attend college in the
summers, I got married. My first failing in
God's will for my life!!

Now, at the age of 71, I can envision all kinds
of wonderful things that God probably had in
His will for my life!! The calling to teach never
left my heart until I knew I was too old to go to
college....but as schools changed, I would
probably have been led into a different career,
Who knows what road I would traveled had I
followed The Father's will for my life!! You can
NEVER go wrong doing that which you know
in your heart is His will instead of following
your own will and/or choices.

My most precious memories are those of
teaching Sunday School....usually Jr Girls age.
When Training Union in the Southern Baptist
Churches was so strong, I was very active in it
and was a leader in it for several years.

I am a very private person and hate gossip
and negative talk. When I have negative thoughts
I am the least happy. I have a confidential
Christian Support Ministry on the web where I
help people God places in my way.

I have 5 living children; all married with
children of their own; 11 grandchildren, and no
great grandchildren. My second son was hit by a
car while riding his bicycle home delivering papers
when he was 10. My first grand daughter died
of leukemia just before her 4th birthday. There
have been a lot of deaths and other crisis
situations in my family...and when I rededicated
my life to Jesus in 1957 Satan has been after
me continually. Were it not for my belief and
faith that I have a living Saviour and a loving
Heavenly Father, I don't believe I would be alive
today to write this. I would of fell by the wayside along the
way somewhere...and fell through the cracks
that Satan provided along the way. OR, I would
of died a long time ago or ended up in an
institution because of all I went through which
would of been so much more stressful without
"faith" and that "peace that passeth understanding" that only Jesus can give to us..
that the world fails to understand at all. I can't
take any credit for this at all...God has had His
hand upon me through my life, whether I was
living for Him or against His will....and He has
kept Satan from destroying my life and soul...He
even saved me from Satan's kiss of death one
time. The name of Jesus saved me.

I have learned a lot in my life time. Believe me
when I tell you that I was one hard head for God
to handle...By that, I mean that it took me most
of my life to be able to take "me" out of the
picture and just give all the credit to Him for
whatever I do for Him in ministry work. It is a
continual battle with me but not as strong as it
used to be.

I love prophecy and I believe that the time for
the second coming of Jesus is drawing very near.
But I have a burden for the many of God's
Children who have gotten caught up in the
ways of the world and whose lives are so filled
with stress and discord that they can't make
contact with Him. I have children in this same
bondage, so it breaks my heart to see the pain
and listen to the trials of these precious ones in
His sight. Many driven so far into the web of
the world's claws that they think of suicide..but
having known God they reach out in pain.

We are living in an age when Satan's forces
are working overtime! Destruction of morality;
family life; real love...Eastern Religions of old
times past have came into our country full
force destroying people minds with doubts of
God and His Word and His Son. Everywhere
you stop, look, and listen...it's all New Age
stuff!! In a few short years it has really taken
hold in multitude of lives. It makes people like
me sound like "old fogies"....because the way
of Jesus is contradictory to the ways of the
world, especially so in this day and age.

I like writing, gospel music, and am a creative
type person. I used to play the guitar and sing
and even sang on the radio a couple times..I
also had a short story sold just before my son
was killed...for some reason, I never went back
to my writing. He was in a coma for 15 hrs..and
I actually heard the angel's choir as he entered
Heaven's door. It was the most beautiful music
I ever heard. So, yes, I definitely believe that
there is life after death, and while our body may die,
WE do not!! We go right on living!! And no one
could make me believe otherwise!

I'm a country girl, raised on a farm...and we
were poor...We ate taters and beans and what
ever we raised on the farm and canned or could
pick from the garden. We made our own lard;
churned our butter, and seperated the curds
and whey in a cloth hanging from the clothesline
for home made cottage cheese. I didn't have the
luxury of riding a school bus until I started high
school; I learned how to ride a bicycle that had
no chain/so no brakes; I knew how to fix a flat
tire, cook, sew, milk a cow, shear a sheep,
make home made ice cream; find a turkey's nest;
and put a lid on the skillet so the frogs legs
wouldn't jump out of the pan when put into hot
grease. I received my last doll at the age of 14
and also that was the first year we had electric
in any of our houses we lived in.
We put a bucket of coal under the motor of
the old car on cold mornings to help it start and
hooked up the radio to a car battery on
Saturday nights and listened to the Grand 'Ole
Opry and Minnie Pearl.

My mother made sure to pick out pretty prints
of material that livestock/chicken feed, etc came
in for the dresses she made for me and my
sister. Our underclothes, sheets, pillow cases,
tea towels, etc were made out of the white feed
sacks. One year, the soles were coming loose
on my shoes before school was out and daddy
wired the sole to the shoe so they would last..

Kids and young people think they have it so
bad today? Well, I guess they do...but one
thing for sure, they will never have the fond
memories of growing up and the simple things
that brought delight to us as a child in my days
of childhood. Fond memories that last a life
time just aren't purchased at Radio Shack or
Wal Mart

In His Precious Name and Love,
Louise

My youngest son was showing me something
about his new computer. I was watching..I didn't
know he was taking our picture...abt 4 yr ago...
