The cold night did not stop them




The reporter states:

"They say the church wants to remove the altar and the tabernacle, and build the altar in the middle surrounded by chairs. They say they have 5,000 signatures on their petition to oppose the changes..."

"The pastor, Father Mulligan says they do not represent the majority of Sacred Heart parishioners, and they (the renovation committee) are going to come out with final plans when they are finally done, but there really is no timeline when that is going to happen."

"The protestors are here all night long, but who knows how long their fight is going to have to last. Tonight, they are looking for Divine intervention."

The protestors of the profaning of their cathedral state a clear message.

"It shows people in our community that we can stand up for Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament."


TIME WARNER 24 hour cable news came by at 4AM to record the prayer warriors continuing in prayer. The TV news reported: "those opposing spent a sleepless night in freezing temperature."

a vehicle was provided for "warming up" before continuing the prayer vigil in front of Sacred Heart.

Theresa holds a section of marble from the altar rails of St. Ambrose Parish Church, which was recovered from the trash-bin on the street (Empire Boulevard) in front of St. Ambrose during their "renovation," i.e. "reckovation." This writer was a participant in that recovery, and can attest to where it came from.
