Charlotte County, VA Will Book 3:187 In the name of God amen I William Sublett Senr of Charlotte County being weak in body but in perfect (...) and composure of mind and knowing that it is appointed unto man once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament Imprimus I will that this body die be disolv'd and sink into union with the body of Christ Item I will that my beloved wife Susanah Sublett should keep the home and land in her possession during her life and to keep as much household and kitchen furniture as she may think proper, also that she should keep as many plantation tools as her circumstances may require, and that should keep all the stock, or dispose of it as she thinks best Item I will that all my land lying over the road between me and Mr. John Pugh should be sold and the balance equally divided between William and Sally Sublett, my children, after the death of my wife. Anny Burchfield my daughter and William Sublett my son have been already provided for, consequently I make no further provision for them until the death of my wife, after which Anny Burchfield shall have an equal part in what may be sold or enough rendered to make her equal to William and Sally in the value of the land. Item I will that Sally my daughter should first receive forty pounds, a bed and good furniture then share equally in whatever may be sold after the death of my wife, the above mentioned forty pounds shall be rais'd immediately from the sale of such stock as may be most conveniently parted with and the money I wish to be put out on interest.
