...(August 2006) I'm "thinking-up" possibilities of raising the layout UP to a height about 12 inches from the ceiling, would solve all sorts of "bumbing into" and not needing drawbridges, and just use step-stools when working on or running trains...

This West Bridge is finally a Drawbridge too, April 2004, but it's six-foot long, so it simply lifts-out and I stand it there.
After four years I don't have to duck to go out on my deck!!!
