JAGGED EDGES I made a 300x370 slategray-black gradient bg at IM. I saved it for later use. 1. Go to Transform and Flip the gradient. 2. Go to Composite and put saved image where it says URL. Choose Displace. Below it to the left put 35 to Rotate. Now go click on composite. 3. Repeat 2 except for rotate put -45. 5. Go back to Composite and choose Difference and composite with NO rotation. This is what it should look like Here 6. Go to FX and do a gentle Swirl at 100x90. Save it to Composite back over itself. 7. Go to Effects and put in these Parameters 1000 x -1000 for Gray Shade. 8. Go to Enhance and Equalize. This is the Results Go to composite and put the saved gradient image in for compositing. I used Difference. 9. Go back to Enhance and Negate it. 10. Go to Transform and Flip then Flop it. 11. Now with your chosen image composite it over the gradient. This is my chosen Image. This part can be tricky because not all images will work with your gradient. You may have to choose another. Try different Composites and choose the best results. I first composited Modulate and then Overlay. This is the Results after I framed it. Susanna M © copyright all rights reserved by Susanna Mitchell 2006-2010 |
