Most of these photos were submitted by members of Battery "A", of the 601st F. A. Bn. (Pack). My Dad was with Battery "A", during World War II. So my main interest is in the battery, in which he served. However, If anyone should come upon this site, who has information or photos from any of the other Batteries, Battalions, or Divisions, which were attached to the 601st, I would be happy, and most willing to add your information here. I am always looking for more information on Battery "B", Battery "C", Headquarters and Service Batteries of the 601st. I am also looking for information on the 602nd Field Artillery Battalion (Pack). Both Battalions trained at Camp Hale, Colorado in 1942-1943. These two units participated in the same campaigns. The invasion of Kiska, Italy, Southern France, and Germany. |
