Welcome to my Rose Garden. Here you will find some of my favorite poems. Many things inspire me to write. Life, Death. Loved ones, Illness and Disease, Patriotic and a little of This and That. Family and friends are very important to me and people with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease have a very special spot close to my heart. Some of my writings are uplifting while others can be quite sad. The world has lost a great man!...He will be missed!

Let us remember Steve, always! We all weep and feel the loss of the Crocodile Hunter. Let us remember his love for animals and how he always gave his all as a husband, father, son and friend. Please Pray for his wife Terri and children Bindy and Bob who will miss him most.

Please remember those who still suffer the aftermath of Katrina!

Tears For Hope.... Sad that so many children are abused every minute of every day. Sadder still, that often times their cries go uheard...

For Our Children, all children... Something is very wrong in our world today. Why is it that a person with a record for molesting children is allowed to walk free? And why is it that our system is failing our children? And why is it that there is no justice for such acts against our children? Why is it? ~ ~ ~ ~ When our children are young ones we teach them right from wrong we help them with their homework hold them close where they belong ~ ~ ~ ~ Preach about hygiene and safety be sure and look both ways and after using the bathroom be sure and wash your hands ~ ~ ~ ~ Get along with others play nice and always be fair elbows off the table don't forget to say your prayers ~ ~ ~ ~ Don't ever go with strangers don't listen to what they say If anyone ever hurts you you ust tell me right away ~ ~ ~ ~ A stranger can be a neighbor or someone just passing through no they don't look scary they look like me and you ~ ~ ~ ~ Please teach your children that the evil ones can look and be very friendly. They do not look like monsters or the boogieman. We need to set rules for our children and make sure they are understood. We need to teach them what to do if they are put in harms way. You Have No Right You have no right to hit me or call me dirty names have no right mistreating me with your foolish games You have no right to laugh at me because you made me cry have no right to belittle me as your friends stand by ~ ~ ~ You have no right to touch me in my private spots for I am but a little child with fear inside my heart It's not your right to punch me just because you're drunk or lock me in a closet no breakfast and no lunch ~ ~ ~ You think because I'm old and gray to weak to fight you off it makes you feel more powerful even though you're not It's not your right to push me or scream into my face you have no right to starve me by removing my dinner plate ~ ~ ~ You have no right to kick me or throw me cross the room you watch me cower and tremble just because you're home It's not your right to abuse me because of trickels on the floor why do you stamp and holler toss me out the door ~ ~ ~ However, We all have the right to make a difference... ~ ~ ~ There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for abuse be it man, woman, child, young, old or animal...Abuse is unacceptable be it, verbal, sexual, emotional, mental. or otherwise...Please do your part to help prevent such situations...Thank you! 06/26/03 By Rose Marie Streeter © 2003 Rose Marie Streeter (All rights reserved)
