Enoch Webster SLUSHER was the son of Civil War Veteran, George William SLUSHER (1838-1908) and Susan Catherine JUDY (1841-1934) - Enoch was born 20 Nov 1860 in an area of Virginia (prob in/near Pendleton Co.) which became West Virginia in 1863 - occ: Farmer/Laborer - Enoch and his younger brother, George Washington SLUSHER (1853-1942), were brought to Ohio by their mother, Susan, during the Civil War. Their father, who was in the Civil War in VA/WVA later joined the family in Ohio - Enoch joined the "M. E." Church in Blanchester, Clinton Co., OH, at the age of 19 (abt 1879) - He returned to W. VA. at age 22 (abt 1884) and remained there about 4 years, returning to Ohio about 1888 where he had a farm (poss in Perry Township, Fayette Co., Ohio, where his son Otis was born in 1894) - In 1900, Enoch and family were living in New Martinsburg, Fayette Co., OH - Sometime before 1908, they moved to Columbus, Franklin Co., OH - He lived in Columbus, OH, until about Aug 1912, when he moved in with his sister, Melcena Maude (SLUSHER) DODD (1875-1929) in Washington Court House, Fayette Co., Ohio - Enoch died on 22 Feb 1914 at the age of 53 of Cancer of the Stomach Region, which he had for 2 years - He died at his sisters residence on S.
