VA., Nov 24. -- A distressing shooting accident occurred at "Piedmont", near Charlestown, yesterday. James Slusher and Frederick Briscoe, son of Wm. D. Briscoe, were retrning from a hunt after wild ducks, and as they reached the home of Mr. Slusher, a gun in the hands of Briscoe was accidentally discharged, the contents entering the abdomen of Newton, a five-year-old son of Mr. Slusher, disemboweling the child. He died in a few minutes. No inquest was held. The unfortunate lad was a grandson of Mr. J. D. Slusher, near Luray. Mr. Wm.
