"Telegram", //Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia//, dated May 30, 1938: DEATH SPOILS HOLIDAY PLANS Plans for a holiday outing were abruptly ended when Charles Bennett 48, farmer of Big Isaac Doddridge Co, dropped dead from a heart attack at 9 PM last night at the home of a brother Donald Bennett at McWhorter. Members of the family had planned a Memorial Day trip to the Grafton flood dam and Mr Bennett had planned to stay over night at his brother's home in preparation for the trip. Funeral services will be held 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Big Issac Methodist Episcopal church, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Bennett was b. in Doddridge Co. a son of the late Stephen and Anna Stutler Bennett, natives of WV. He had lived practically all his life in the Big Isaac section. He was noble grand of the Big Isaac lodge of the Independant Order of the Odd Fellows and held membership in the Big Isaac Methodist Episcopal Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Bessie SLUSSAR BENNETT, native of Big Isaac, 2 ch, Conrad and Nadine; both at home; three brothers, Glenn & Donald both of McWhorter and Asa A. Bennett of Big Isaac, two half brothers, Ira C. & Ora K. Bennett, both of Buffalo Creek (R.F.D. Wolf Summit) and 2 half sisters, Mrs. Olive Rector, of near Clarksburg and Mrs. Bird Adams, of Buckhannon. f.
