Announcing our second America's Favorite Animal Shelter contest:
"A New Year of Hope for Animals"!
In our first contest, 10 shelters and rescue groups got enough
votes to win shares of $20,000 in prizes. With the economy in crisis and pet abandonment rates on the rise, Care2 and Adopt-a-Pet.com are pitching in again with a new contest to make
2009 into A New Year of Hope for Animals.
The Animal Rescue Site is awarding $100,000 in grants to eligible Petfinder.com member rescue organizations. The grand prize is a $20,000 grant and there are many more prizes ranging from $1,000 for weekly winners up to $5,000 for the runner-up. There will be a winner in every state as well as other grants!
