Located in the HEART of the Great North Woods, our two bedroom house, which is located within walking distance to the town of Errol and the fly fishing only section of the Androscoggin River, is a nature lovers delight. Hear the call of the loons while sitting on your enclosed porch or just sit and enjoy a starry night sky from your second story deck which overlooks a nice large yard with many bird feeders and critters too and you might even see an occasional moose or deer stroll through.
There is a full kitchen, full bath, master bedroom and large open living room/bedroom. Everything is included in the rental, towels, linens, pots, pans, small appliances, stove and we even supply you with coffee. The property borders the road to the state boat launch and also has a major snowmobile trail running through it, so you can snowmobile right to your door. House is located within minutes of: Lake Umbagog, the National Wildlife Refuge, moose watching, eagle and osprey nests, golfing, Appalachian trail, Grafton and Dixfield Notch State Parks, Millsfield ATV trail and canoe and kayak instruction.
Moose Watching- we are very close to many popular viewing areas;
Wildlife Refuge- over 16,300 acres;
Waterfalls- a few very beautiful ones close by to enjoy;
Swimming- whether you like to take a dip at the ol' swimming hole or go to the sandy beach at the state campground, we have them both;
ATV Trails- very close to the Millsfield ATV parking area
Fishing- Lake Umbagog features some of the best bass fishing in the state. The Androscoggin River and numerous ponds feature excellent trout fishing. Boat rentals are available.
Canoe, Kayak, and Rafting instruction and rentals available. Pontoon Boat Tours are available of Lake Umbagog to see old logging camps, eagle and osprey nests and various wildlife. Northern Waters Canoe and Kayak is located right next door to the house.
Birdwatching- nesting eagles, loons and osprey just to mention a few.
Snowmobiling-450 miles of groomed trails.
Skiing-Downhill, x-country and snowboarding are just minutes away at the Balsams and Sunday River;
Big Adventure- Featuring an arcade, miniature golf, laser tag, waterslide, and rock climbing is just 30 miles away
