THE CHARLES CARDUCCI FAMILY
SUMMER OF '42
Charles the elder son of Clemente and Francesca, was born Jan.25th 1925 in Pueblo, Colorado.After Clemente left Pueblo to seek his own fortune he took his family to Chicago Heights, Ill. Charles and his younger brother Clement were raised in Chicago Heights on 23rd. St. in the Italian section of the city. Actually Charles's birth name was Pasquale like his granfather, but his friends started calling him Charles and the name stuck.He spent his childhood in Chicago Heights except for summers when he would spend his vacation months in Pueblo at his Grandfather's Mike Occhiato.It was during one of those vacations in the summer of 1942 that Charles met Rosemarie Comaianni.They were introduced by a mutual friend and it did not take long for Charles to realize that Rosemarie was the one he wanted to spend alll his summers,winters,springs and falls with. By the following summer they became engaged just before he was to leave for the Marines. Rosemarie was the daughter of Giacomo and Rose (Venezio) Comaianni.Giacomo(Jack) came to America From Sicily when he was 18 yrs old.Charles and Rosemarie married in1945 and moved to Chicago Heights .During the first 4 years of their marrage they had 3 children.Donna Francine was born in 1946,David Charles in 1948, and Timothy Allen in 1949.
From 1948 to 1958 Charles and his family lived in Chicago Heights.During those years they all lived togeher with Clem and Frances.With a garage in the back of the Emerald house. Chuck maintained the cabs for the family's Safeway Cab Company, in addition he would drive a cab for 40 hrs a week.In 1958 all was to change when Frances's brother Joe Occhiato, called and asked Chuck to come west to work in the other family business- Pepsi Cola Bottling of Pueblo.Joe needed someone to head the Pepsi sales dept and he knew Chuck was the man.

ROSEMARY AT AGE 17
Rosemary grew up in Pueblo and met Charles while he was visiting his Grandfather in Pueblo in 1942
CHARLES AT AGE 19
Charles (Chuck) grew up on 23rd st. in Chcago Heights but spent his summers at his grandpa Mike Occhiato's in Pueblo.

After serving in the Pacific Charles returned to Pueblo and married Rosemary Comaianni .
Donna was born in 1946.Here is a picture of her and her dad in 1948.
