Attilio was born in Raton N.M. while his father traveled with the railroad.Like all the Carducci's Attilio was very intelligent however he was the only one who was able to attend college. This was only because all the family pitched in to help him.He did not disappoint them graduating cum laude with an engineering degree. After graduating he rose fast in the corporate world. This all changed one day when God called him to become a minister. He went on to gain another degree in theology and was assigned by the Presbeterian church to be the minister for The Church Of Our Savior in Chicago Hts.Ill.He helped clean the area of crime while there, even raiding gambling halls owned by the Mafia. He went on to become a doctor of theology and moved to Spokane Wash. where he taught at Whitworth College.
Because he was moving to take a church in Spokane, a place which was not very acceptable to Italians,Attilio changed his name(not legally) to A.Vincent Carr).Although it upset his siblings, they still stayed very close to him. Attilio and Violet had a son Ron and a daughter Arlene. Both Children also went by the name Carr.Ron never married and although he too became a minister he spent most his life working in the television industry. He died in 1995.Arlene married and taught at Princeton University (her alma mater). She currently lives in Arizona.
Jenny was actually named after her grandmother Vincenza. She was only girl in the family other than her Mother.Because her mother died so early and was sick the last few years in life,Jenny had to be the woman of the house playing the role of sister and mother to her younger brothers.
Jenny eventually settled in Pueblo Colorado where she married Mike Laino.Jenny and Mike spent their lives happily in the country on their small farm.Mike retired after many years working for a local beer distributer.Mike and Jenny had one son,Russ.
While in the Air Force and stationed in
New Foundland, Russ met his wife Betty, and they returned to live in Pueblo. They had 2 boys.Russ retired from the Pueblo police dept.and he and Betty currently live on that same farmland that gave his parents so many happy years.
Here is Hugo with his oldest brother Clemente.Hugo was born in Chicago Heights and because his mother died so early he was raised by his brothers. He spent his childhood and teen years living with his brother Clemente and his wife Frances and also with his brother Gino and his wife Norma.
Hugo married Lillian Comisky who was also from Chicago Heights. They had 3 children Pat,Carol, and Dan.After working a few years in Chcago Hts.,Hugo and his family moved to Pueblo Colo. in 1957.In Pueblo Hugo spent his career with Pepsi Cola as head of their Vending Dept.He became one of the top vending man in all of Pepsi, with Plants around the country copying his operational methods.Lil still lives in the house they shared in Pueblo.Pat married Ray Keller and lives in Denver.Pat and Ray have a daughter Sandy living in Denver and a son Scott who lives in San Francisco.Carol married Joe Davis and live in Pueblo. They have 3 boys and one girl. The 3 boys Joe,John and Jason all live in Pueblo as does their daughter.Dan sadly died of cancer at the age of 53.His son Eddie and daughter Carrie live in the Chicago area.
Romeo was the youngest of the Caducci family.Like Hugo he was very young when his mother Palmina passed away.He had perhaps the toughest childhood. With no mother to care for him and his father unable to,he was passed from one sibling to another while growing up.He spent the majority of his childhood with his sister Jenny and her husband Mike, but Clem and Gino also took Romeo in at different times.

As soon as he was old enough Romi, as he was called, joined the Air Force. When he returned after serving his country he married Esther and they setteled in Chicago Heights.Romeo and Esther had 2 boys,Rick, and Robert.Romi Joined the Chicago Hts. police force and became not only known as one of the toughest cops on the force but also one of the fairest.Above all else he was an honest cop on a force that at the time had a reputation for having many corrupt policemen. It was his honesty and his refusal to go ouside the rules that eventually cost him his career after more than 20 years on the force. |
