Over past year or so I've been contemplating putting together a personal webpage which better expressed some of my beliefs in Traditional Witchcraft and now this idea has blossomed into Carpe Noctem. This website will feature interviews, Bios and Essays of those of like mind within the Magickal community.
My beliefs in Traditional Witchcraft is based on the idea of stealing the fire from the so called gods and priestly classes and making them easily accessible to The Seeker. My patron God in this regard is Prometheus. The God of change, revolution, retribution, and true enlightenment.
My beliefs in Traditional Witchcraft has never been Politically Correct. The views expressed on this web-page are those of which a truly enlightened mind would neither fear nor suppress. I do not subscribe to the conservative religious views, of de-facto Christian witches who sugar coat The Craft in such a way that it loses part of it's true identity. This is often done by some who have good intentions in order to try and look good in the eyes of people who at one time BURNT THEM AT THE STAKE. The only problem with this is The Craft tends to lose some of it's spice in the process.
I do however support good P.R but I also understand that not all witches are alike and not all Witches are Wiccan. Let me also add that a Craft is does not have to be a religion you can be a Witch and be an atheist at the same time, do not be fooled by the so called Wiccan no-it-alls.
Traditional Witchcraft is the craft of the "free thinker" who has broken the chains of dogma that seems to run so freely within our society. I believe that a fundie is a fundie no matter what religion he or she subscribes to. The only law I ahear to is DO WHAT THY WILT for this is the whole of the Law which binds Traditional Witchcraft together.
