I just started this page so there is much to add yet as I find the time--I have been an admirer of the Checker car for nearly as long as I can remember- I even recall trying to convince my mother to buy a Checker for our new car way before I could even drive. I started driving for Valley Checker Cab in 1976 or 1977, and purchased my first personal Checker (a 1966 marathon A-11, one owner,with a 283 V-8) in 1982 or '83. More to follow shortly.....
