SAVING SIGS

A nifty little trick for y'all.....
For those that like to change their sigs, and don't know about this little trick, here ya are:
You can have several sigs in the sig box at once, just by inserting at the beginning and ending this code:
!---html> and at the close, /html--->
(be sure to add the <'s)
And just remove those additions for the sig you want and insert them in the sig you don't want.

Steve's method of saving sigs in your e-mail works fine. Here's another way, thanks to Beth Candy:

http://community-2.webtv.net/SecretAdmirer/mysigstorage/index.html

Each box on the page stores a different sig and the boxes are 'clickable' which allows you to CC&P a sig without going into the Change Page (editing) part of the Pagebuilder. And you can add more boxes if you want to store more sigs (I have about 25 different sigs stored on my page). And it's as easy as she says it is, although, it took me a little longer than 5 min. to make it (I have 4 thumbs and a finger on each hand). Took me about 15 min. to build it.   ;-)

GO TO STORAGE

To keep more than one addy in your Go To: Box, you would... Bring up the first picture...press Go To...then, click on Show Last. Then, press "Cmd" + "A" ... then, "Cmd" + "C'. The way you usually copy one.

Hit "Back".

Bring up the next picture...press Go To...then, click on Show Last. This time...put a comma after the URL that's showing in the box. Then, while holding "Cmd" press "V" (this will place the previous addy you copied into the box)...then, while still holding the "Cmd" key down) press "A"...then "C".

This will copy both addys into your memory. You just continue that procedure until you've copied all the addys from your folder.

I'm not sure how many it will hold...but, it will hold at least 1 folder's worth.

I know it sounds complicated...but, it really isn't once you've done it a few times.

I really should clarify...the list isn't actually kept in the Go To: Box. You only use it to copy the addys to your memory.

Tips and Tools from Our Readers

By OptiMod and Dellsden

There's storage on WebTV that we didn't even know we had, plus an envelope printing site. OptiMod and Dellsden share their tips and tricks.

Did you know that there are 150 storage compartments in every WebTV username that hardly anyone know`s about? There are! You may already know of them. The Address book!

In my address book, I can store the addresses of all of my mod files, midi files, short codes, and more!

The short codes are ones that can be dropped into the body of an email. The sounds stored can be retrieved easily, without having to log into a homepage editor to access the addresses.

Here is how I do this:

The top address book slot is where the personal name would go for an email address. This is where I put the description of what is stored. "MIDIS" is one for example.

The bottom slot is where the actual email address would be "User@webtv.net". This is where I put "midis@myplace.com", or something like that. After the address I put: "("....followed with the songs addresses, then I add ")" to close the saved addresses.

To retrieve these midis, and codes, all I need to do is click on my CC:, for carbon copy, copy out the song / codes, and erase the remainder.

Here is a full address area filled with midis, using this technique:

Top (name) slot:~MIDIS

Address slot:
Mid@7.com(http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/echoes.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/time.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/keeptalking.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/highhopes.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/emptyspaces.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/runlikehell.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/oneofthesedays.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/adayinthelife.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/bladerunner.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/mars.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/mercury.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/lowrider.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/obscure.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/computerlove.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/oxygene10.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/computerlove2.mid http://home.talkcity.com/AntennaAv/optimod/usandthem.mid)

When I add an address, I put a space after it, and add another. I hope this comes in handy.

Hi ... I put up a envelope printing site about a month ago. Really not trying to promote it but would be an addition to the cards sites you listed. Very easy to use:) See what you think ... Dellsden Envelope Express
