BOOMSPEED

www.boomspeed.com seems to work with webtv. I joined & played around in there trying to figure it out.

Uploaded 2 photos, and spidered them into my worldzone files with no problem. You can also send html files, make a website and link to EBAY. They have a link to a Tutorial for making a page to take to Ebay. It looks quite useful.

Make sure to check out the Q&A'S & testimonials. He says he will keep (10 megs I think) storage, Free. will offer an upgrade to 100 megs for a small fee of approx. $6.95 per year. & plans to be around for a good while.

At least it will be a solution for Ebay users for the time being til or IF Photopoint gets back to normal.
I hope this helps

VIDEO CAPTURES

Today I ran across something called
video capture for web tv, could someone explain this to me.

First off, it doesn't work with the Classic - you have to have the Plus.

Second, do *NOT* connect your video camera directly to WebTV unless your WebTV is turned off. Just go ahead and unplug the thing, so nothing gets fried.

Or unplug the VCR and run your video camera into the VCR instead. That makes more sense, because you can rewind and try again to capture the exact frame you want.

Anyhow, when you are writing an email or posting to a newsgroup, click to the left on PHOTO.

There is a switch in the lower left corner to choose between TV and Video. I move the yellow box to that switch and tap ENTER, and the TV picture starts to appear in the window.

If you are hooked up to the WebTV with RCA plugs instead of coax, I think the video setting is the right one. Play around, and see what works.

Click on the FREEZE button and it grabs the current picture.

Goofed? Click again and it ungrabs it.

Then click again, and it grabs the *new* picture.

That's why the rewind button on the VCR is so great.

When you have what you want, you click on "add to message" and it gets inserted in your post or email.

Change your mind? Just tap the supposedly worthless ESC key, and the vidcap window goes away.

Kinda nifty. If they show pictures of your bank robbery on the evening news, you can capture the picture in your email, and send them to Tom Arnold's mom to admire. LancaStir                 Lancaster County PA

EMAILING PICTURES

I just looked at cannonballs scrapbook to e mail intructions. It is quite lenghty but will work.

It is much faster to cc&p a url of a page in pagebuilder and enter it in WEBFX after deleting the http.

You will get all the pictures on that page.

Click on the one you want and send it to yourself and then fwd it to PP or any album service.

This method can be used to transfer pictures from one album service or user to another.

...I had a picture scanned by a copier
service and sent to me in E-mail form. I
would like to be able to send it to cyber friends without revealing my personal
information...

Hi,
If it's attached to an email you received, you can activate your Scrapbook and upload to it from the email screen as you view it.

Here's how to get a picture to your Scrapbook:

http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/Node/9820/toscrapbook.html

...and here's how to get a URL [website address] for the picture to link to it:

http://members.tripod.com/~cannonball2/newbees/ScrapBook.html

...and here's a newsgroup for help:
news:alt.pagebuilder.help

Hope this helps,
