Born in Warren, Ohio, Lewis John ("LJ") Fortier has performed with bands and as a soloist, off and on, for over 35 years. Some may recall LJ from the late '60s band "Difference Between", the early '70s group "Freeman Sound", or his many appearances as a soloist since the late '70s. LJ's "oldies and blues" solo act features his guitar, harmonicas and vocals as he offers up his unique renditions of well known oldies, using his own smooth combination of pop, jazzy rockin' boogie and blues styles. LJ's professional priorities include providing a dependable, soberly consistent performance that will be welcomed in any venue. Familiar and at ease with virtually all types of audiences, LJ is a mature, mannered character who likes to let the dynamics of his carefully chosen repertoire do most of the "talking".
