By Warren:
This will be our last posting for the 2002 racing season.
Last weekend we made the trip to Virginia Mototrsports Park in Petersburg, Va. for the Junior Jamm Nationals... Several other local teams also made the 300+ mile trec. The Boden brothers, the Roth sisters, Jesse Alberts, Kyle Wagner, Jared Hafer, and Jeremy! To make a long story short (which I never do anyway, haha) Jeremy and his car (thanks to Norm Beidlers carb) were on KILL! The car never moved more than .03 all day, and Jeremy's lights were "great" to say the least! A .501 in quarter finals gave him the "bye" into the finals! The end result was a Jeremy Campbell VS Marty Flegal final!!! (8 rounds) in the over 130 car field of 13-17 year olds.... Marty as you may remember, was the one who walked away with the BIG$$$ at Eastern Conference! Anyway, Marty had the better light .522 to Jeremy's .548 giving Marty the win by .0027!!!!! WHAT A RACE!!!!
The only down-fall to the weekend, was I dislocated my knee after 4th round. With the help of Joel Alberts, Rick Hafer, and John Bowden Sr., I was able to keep Jeremy in comptition!
THANKS ALL OF YOU!
I see an Orthopedic Surgeon next week. With me being "out of service" we can not go to any of the Thanksgiving races!!!

On the brighter side..... I'm happy to be the first to announce, there will be a Junior Dragster Championship race next year at Beaver Springs!!! The Inaugural "BEAVER BLAST" will be held Saturday October 11, 2003!!!! We, and others, are working with Beaver Bob to have the best and most fun race of the season!!!! We'll keep ya posted....

The 2002 Beaver Springs Banquet will be January 25th..... Numidia has not announced a date yet!

As for this page, it will be archived the end of December, as the others before it have been.

Have a GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON, and we'll see ya next racing season........

Sorry for another late posting.... Sunday Jeremy raced the Halloween Bash at Englishtown, New Jersey. For not racing for several weeks, he did GREAT! His reaction times were all good, and the car was equally consistant. A soft .555 to a .533 reaction time in round 4 (¼ finals) of class C resulted in a loss by .0353 and ended his day...

With $$$$ being short, and Jeremy having a full schedule of band competitions, that may have been his last race of the season...

At this time, our trip to the Junior Jam at Virginia Motor Sports Park is on hold, and the trip to Silver Dollar (Georgia) or Gainesville (Florida) is out of the question. Well keep ya posted... We've still received no date for the Numidia or Beaver Springs banquet. As soon as we know, I'll have it posted here!!

Sorry for the late update!!!
Jeremy raced the National Dragster Champonship at Maple Grove this past Sunday.... With rain in the forcast, many teams did not go... But for the 50+ that did show up, it was a good race.... In the first round, Jeremy turned the tables on Tina Orth.... Tina defeated Jeremy in the semi-finals at The Mid-Atlantic Challange several weeks ago... This time it was Jeremy moving on to the next round... In round 2, Jeremy faced Frank Markword Jr.... Jeremy had the tree (.515 to Franks' .534) but could not cover the dial on top end.... Oh well, we had fun anyway!!
Jeremy's car is at the Bloomsburg Fair this week as part of the display for JLink Internet Service. The booth is on Avenue F next to Gait 5.... (the main parking lot) Stop by and check out JLink's specials!!!
We'll keep you posted on where we'll be next!

The 2002 "points" season is now over, and the dust has settled... Going into the final race at Numidia, Jeremy held a "slim" 94 advantage over Whitney Jones... After last Mondays victory at Beaver Springs, over Steve Singley, Jeremy was up to the challange... Being #1 qualifier with a .518, Jeremy was matched against John Bowden, Jr...... Whitney was set to race April Beidler... Jeremy ended John's day with a better reaction at the tree, and hit the dial on top end.... Whitney had the light but April had the dial on top end, and the win light!!! As Jeremy said to Whitney after the race, "Whitney, you are a great racer, and I see many track championships in your future!" With the "bye" in round 2, Jeremy was able to relax and focus on the race.. In round 3, he ended 2001 Track Champion Eddie Beidler's day, and met Kyle Volciak in the finals... Jeremy's .530 reaction and a car that was running the number all day, was too much for Kyle, giving Jeremy his third win at Numidia, and his 6th of the season overall...
Jeremy only had three wins at Numidia this year... The first race of the season, one "mid" season, and the last race of the season... He did go rounds! That's what wins championships!!!
This is now Jeremy's 4th Track Championship in 6 years of racing..... 1997, 2000 & 2002 Numidia Raceway and 2001 Beaver Springs. I would like to say a big thanks to our sponsors for making it possible... JLINK Internet Service, Walts Best, Commercial Stainless, Mainville Garage, Dice's Auto Body, and last but no way least Grosso's Performance! Joe, thanks for the GREAT motors, clutch, and parts, to make our car "run the number" pass after pass!!!!
Steve Singley is the 2002 Beaver Springs Track Champion... Our congrats go out to him and his dad Francis! Good luck at Norwalk! Jeremy should finish the year in 4th at The Beaver.
We'll be taking some time off now, so check back often to see where Jeremy will be racing next.... We're looking at the National Dragster Challange at Maple Grove in two weeks, The Halloween Bash at Englshtown, New Jersey, and the Turkey Nationals at Gainesville, Florida......

It was a long Labor Day weekend at The Beaver! Saturday, Jeremy's car slowed first round.... LOSS! Sunday, before the rain came, we found out why the car slowed.... The throttle cable broke at the end of his first time run... Today, Jeremy was on the tree and the car ran the number. The end result was a trip to the finals, and a win over #1 in Beaver points Steve Singley... Jeremy is now third in points at the Beaver, and will finish no lower than 4th for the season.... Next week is the last points race of the season at Numidia.... Jeremy goes in with a 94 point advantage over Whitney Jones....
See ya at Numidia next week....

Today's racing took the points standings for a twist.... not in my favor. In qualifying, my red light matched me up against #2 in points, Whitney Jones. With the points title practically "sitting" on this race... I threw it away. I got treed at the starting line, and I broke out at top end. With Numidia's last points race comming up, either one of us could still win the champonship!!!
We'll probly be at Beaver Springs next weeked, if dad can get off work!
See ya soon!
