Thank you John, and your staff, for your support!

By Warren:

We had a great time at the Halloween Bash at Englishtown, Nj. Jeremy lost first round in class C-68, but was in the semi-finals of the 9.90 index class, when a "computer crash" shut down the ET system, and the rest of the days program!!!
As for the personality problems I talked about a few postings ago, some were resolved, and some never will!!

Apparently, Vickie & Bobby Jones of the Spencer & Whitney Jones racing team, has made it their goal in life to look at the negative side of everything we do! Vickie, little did you know, when you confronted me, about how rude it was for Jeremy to be cheering when Jesse Alberts, your friend and team mate, lost semi-finals in class D-75, he was NOT cheering because Jesse lost, he was cheering because a "long time" friend of his Heather Robolotto had won!!!! Once again, your family has put their nose where it didn't belong!!!! It did not concern you or your team! I guess then it was wrong for us to be happy because our team mate Jared Hafer, won his class by being victorious over your son Spencer in the finals.....

There is too much, "he said", "she said", "they said" going on!!!

My suggestion to people making these "reports", MYOB and get a life! To the ones hearing them, just like a magic act, only believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear!! Use your own judgement, and don't "jump on the band wagon" against someone, unless you know the "whole story"!!!

In closing, I would like to thank everyone for their support, making Jeremy's 2000 Numidia Raceway Track Championship possible!

This page will be "saved", and will be listed as "2000 updates". The 2001 "updates page" will be posted as our plans for the 2001 season unfold. Have a great Holiday Season, and hope to see you at the Numidia Raceway Banquet.

Numidia closed today because of the "bad" weather forcast! It will be added to the 2001 racing season! We may run Island and Beaver Springs the next few weeks, weather permitting! Our next race (for shure) will be the Halloween Bash at Englishtown,Nj... Hope to see ya there!!

We enjoyed a few weeks off from racing. Numidia raced the Harley drags two weeks ago, and was rained out last week. This weekend the "big" cars are at Delmar,De. (US 13 Dragway) for there Divisionals. Numidia will have the last race of the season next Sunday October 8th. Jeremy will be there! We also plan to race at Englishtown,Nj., Saturday October 28th, for the 3rd Annual Briggs & Stratton / McDonald's 1/8 Mile Jr. Dragster Halloween Bash on the 1/8 Mile Track! (Gates Open 9:00 am) We had a blast there the last two years, and are looking forward to seeing a lot of fiends we haven't seen for a while!!
As for our personality conflicts at Numidia, over the last two weeks, some things got ironed out, and some things never will!! As I said several postings ago, when it comes to racing, we give it 100%, and always will!!  We also are paning to race the Turkey Trott Nationals, at Gainesville, Florida, Thanksgiving weekend.
We would like to thank ALL who sent encourageing e-mail to us about winning the 2000 Numidia Raceway Track Chapionship!
See ya at Numidia next week!

Labor Day weekend is now behind us! We had a great time with the Beidlers... They stayed at our home for the weekend... We only live 15 minutes from Numidia, and they live in Hatfield, Pa. about a 2 hour drive!!!!! As for todays racing, Jeremy again went to the semi-finals, and lost to Edward Beidler, who went on to win the days event over Justin Belmonte... As for the points standings, next week, (the last points race of the season) will be a doozie!!!! Going into the last race Jesse Alberts holds a 9 point lead over Jeremy, and Jeremy holds a 6 point advantage on Alicia Treffeisen!!!!! With 100 points per round, Jesse has the advantage going into the last race, but only has to be beat by one round!!!! "Talk about pressure." Who ever wins the championship, will have to "earn" it!
See ya next week, "at the races!"
*standings going into the last points race of the season*
Jesse Alberts 3864
Jeremy Campbell 3855 (-9)
Alicia Treffiesen 3949 (-15)

Day one of Labor Day Weekend is behind us!!! A good day was had by all!!! Jeremy went to the semi-finals, loosing to event winner Spencer Jones. Spencer was "on the tree" with a .502 reaction putting Jeremy on the trailer!!! Spencer "burried" Alicia Treffeisen at the line with a .500!!! We lost 100 points to Allicia, but gained 297 on Jesse Alberts... holding his lead to 306! With 2 more points races left, the Championship is still possible!! See ya tomorrow!!!

Today was not a good day for Ricochet Racing, in more ways than one! We were fighting high humidity. (95%+) I was changing metering rods and jets, to make the corrections from the low humidity we had at Mason Dixon last weeked.... Our last time shot before qualifing, was our only "full throttle pass" of the day.... A 10.023 @ 62.53 mph. We felt it was a good pass, for the humidity! Little did I know, Jeremy broke the camshaft on top end!! I found that out at the starting line, on his qualifing run!!!! We were not the only ones to have trouble..... Frank Markward (a Maple grove car) didn't make his time run, and Danielle Stewart also 'blew her motor" in qualifing!!!!!! I got our "back-up" motor in the car, in time for first round... It was a 17 car field today, and the way the ladder set the field, Jeremy was paired with #3 in points Alicia Treffeisen... Our records showed our "back-up" motor would run a 10.02, so we dialed a 10.01 and went to the line... Jeremy "nailed" the tree with a .506 reaction to Alicias .596, only to have the throttle cable break, shutting the car off at the 60ft mark. :-( This was to the "joy" of some of our fellow racers parents, by the "cheers" and comments they made!!!!!! (this is a good way to teach your children poor sportsmanship) Jeremy asks "why does everyone hate me!" The only answer I can give him is "because you are one of the BEST!!!" Jesse Alberts went on to win the days event, extending his points lead to 603 over Jeremy... Jeremy still holds a slim 6 point lead over Alicia Treffeisen!!! With only 3 points races remaining, we have our work cut out for us..... Jeremy vows to take the championship! I told him, if we don't win, at least we know we gave it 100%, and always will!!!!
See ya next week!!!!

Divisionals at Mason-Dixon

Friday - Saturday
"race of champions"
Lost 2nd round = .493 "red light"

Saturday:
"12-14 year old class"
1st round "broke out" = 9.978 on a 10.06 dial

"Second chance race"
1st round .628 reaction time
"numbers like that will stop ya almost every time!"

All in all, we had a "fun" weekend!!! We got to see a lot of friends we haven't seen in a while, and didn't get the time to talk to at the Eastern Conferece Finals.... The food at the picinic was great, and everyone had a blast at the Amusement Park!!!
Just ask everyone who got "kicked off" the go-cart ride!!!!

Sorry about the "late" posting, as I had to be in Franklin Indiana on Monday morning.... Jeremy, I guess, didn't want to do the update, for reasons I will not go into now! To make a long story short, Jeremy lost first round to Jeremy Hine.... Jesse Alberts, went on to win the days event, and take the points lead from Jeremy by 103... Alicia Treffeisen won two rounds, making her total just 106 behind Jeremy... For the second time, in two years, the "current" points leader at Numidia, didn't run in the "race of champions!" Last year, Jeremy Hine took the points lead from Jesse Alberts the week before divisionals, and Jesse was already registered for the race!!! Jesse regained the points lead before the seasons end, and the 1999 track championship! I hope Jeremy Campbell can do the same!!!! Looking forward to the divisionals this weekend at Mason Dixon Raceway, Hagerstown, Md. Hope to see ya there!!!

P.S. JUNIORS WILL NOT RACE AT NUMIDIA THIS WEEKEND!!

August 6, 2000

By Warren:
We enjoyed our week off from racing! Last Saturday, we (the whole family, Rachel too!) spent the day at Hershey Park.. Today we got into the pits at Numidia, unloaded the car, as the rain came down, washing out the entire program... Numidia made the roster for divisionals today... JEREMY "IS" GOING TO THE RACE OF CHAMPIONS!!! We are looking forward to being in the race for the second time in four years! The first was in Jeremys' rookie year, 1997, at Lebanon Valley,Ny. Numidia also announced there will be "NO" racing for juniors on Sunday August 20, in respect to the cars running at Mason Dixon! Juniors will have the opiton of doing "test and tune", if they wish, but no points, or eliminations!!!
A nice jesture by Numidia!!! See ya next week!!!
