"The history of the farm:
legal description: SW Quarter, Section 34, Township 19, North of
Range 2, West of the 6th principal meridian.

That land first belonged toPatrick Fahey (US gov. to Patrick Fahey,
April 15, 1878, filed Feb 1, 1881). He lost it in Oct 1892, and a
law firm, Anderson& Roan ,bought it . They sold it Jan 1893 to
Maurice Langan (warranty Feb 24, 1893).

On Dec. 8, 1923, Maurice
transferred the farm to Patrick Henry Langan, and then willed it to him
in Maurice's will probated March 1927.

Patrick's son Earl took over
the farm when my grandfather Pat and Lena retired and moved into Platte
Center. My grandfather died in 1952. Earl then had the farm ,and
it was sold in 1958 to a family named Greisen. They tore the old house
down and built a new one. I don't know if they still own ithe land.
There is no house at all on that land now.

There was another parcel of land, too.
NW Quarter section3, Township
18, North of Range 2, West of the 6th principal meridian..
It's history: Union Pacific RR sold it to Patrick Fahey Jan 27, 1881,
filed Feb 1881. Fahey lost it in Oct 1882 and Anderson & Roan bought it
at a sheriff's sale. The sold it to Maurice Langan Jan 1893. Maurice
Langan sold it to Anton Koafka, Sept 18, 1899.
All records are on file Register of Deeds Platte Co NE, Courthouse,

SW Quarter, Section 34, Township 19, North of Range 2, West: on a 1976 Township map has the owners as Phillip & Marcella Greisen. Its show that they own 320 acres in the South Section of section 34.
This land would be located from Platte Center ,2 miles north and 2 miles west.

and from my dear friend CM- Thank you :)
I took the liberty of condensing the email,

"Maurice Langen. This was the west half of the south west quarter of section fourteen in township eighteen north of range one west of the sixth principal meridian in Nebraska containing eighty acres. This was his homestead and registered in Grand Island. on Nov. 20, 1882.
Filed for record and entered in Numerical Index Nov. 9, 1887 at 2 P.M. homestead certificate No. 4470.....
.....1882 means he had lived there the required 5 years and it was then his. As near as I can figure from this land description his land would have been 5 miles East of Platte Cemter."
