MOIRA'S PAST & PRESENT
The object of the following is for me to catch up with friends, aquaintances and co-workers from my school years in Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland. My present position is Human Resources Assistant for Jefferson County in Madras, Oregon.
It may take me a while to build these pages and perhaps I'm starting from the present rather than the past, however the end result should be the same.
The years between leaving Marr College have been colorful and enjoyable. I left Troon in 1963 to emigrate to the United States, the first few years being in Big Spring, Texas, where my sister & brother-in-law were living. After spending a few years there, I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1967 and resided in and around that area until 1979, when I accepted a postion in Oregon. I have continued to live here, with a couple of short breaks, for the past 22 years. I left for a few months in 1985 and then for 2 1/2 years, 1991 - 1993. Until recently, most of my employment was with the Kah-Nee-Ta Resort, which is owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon.
Only once in my travels have I met another Marr College Former Pupil, that was in Colorado Springs. I. like many others, have been neglectful at keeping in touch with my former classmates and friends, and feel like this is an excellent way to re-establish the communications and share our life stories with those who were at the beginning of our
journeys.
