It will be updated/modified when time permits ====================================== ====================================== Effective immediately, regular open games will become 14 innings long - 7 innings of "fastball" (1:15 time limit) with a break to install the mound and move bases, then another 7 innings of regular baseball (2:15 time limit). Fee remains $10 for the game, and whether you come late (and waste part of your money) is up to you. Regular games continue every sunday except Christmas (12/26). IF THERE IS DEMAND, we may add additional games on saturdays. The last scheduled game is 1/02/11. The following 3 weeks are reserved for "Smurfs" vs "Grunts" (regular baseball) with fixed teams. Those teams are likely full, but you can contact the managers to see if they have dropouts or need 'on call' players. On 1/30/11 at 9am there will be another "open" 7inn/7inn fastball/baseball game and those will continue every sunday thru February at noon (or possibly earlier if needed due to darkness). (Following the 1/30 9am game there will be a 4th "Smurf/Grunt" game). On 3/5-3/6 we will move to Sinsheimer for "Spring League". Opening weekend will have Dodgers vs Giants on saturday and 2 other teams also playing that day. On sunday Dodgers and Giants will play 2 other teams that did not play saturday. All other teams will play over the next 3 weeks as the Dodgers and Giants will have 3 'bye' weekends in a row. At this time we 'anticipate' spring teams of Angels, Blacksox, Blues, Dodgers, Giants, Nuts, Padres, Redsox, Tigers. We ANTICIPATE a ten game season with playoff and the fee will be $100. We lose most SLO field access from early May thru mid-July. We will POSSIBLY add a "fastball" league on sundays for that period played at the field above Sinsheimer ("Stockton Field" - behind 1st base - not the one above the parking lot). With the very short fences on that field, we will be restricted to the 'modified' "Fastball". Alternatively, Arroyo Grande Parks and Rec MAY offer "Fastball" in that time frame.
