Naval District Scouts - 1909 The District Scouts are vessels of good speed, sufficient size for off-shore cruising, furnished with a wire-less and lightly armed, which opperate at some distance from the coast to obtain information, and, when opportunity offers, to supplement the work of the Harbor Entrance Patrol.
