DEDICATION

This photo looks so much like Cindy --everything from the long, braided hair to the beautiful shape and exact features of the face-- it startled me when I came across it...

Elizabeth's Sanctum is dedicated in loving memory to my best friend, Cindy Crozier, who passed away at the too young age of 26 on May 30, 2005. The disease, lupus, was the cause.

Cindy's many likes included Dr. Pepper, horror movies, the color purple, Tom Cruise, Beavis and Butt-head, Spongebob Squarepants, South Park, Guns n' Roses, Metallica, reading, chocolate, guys with good buns, and Thundercats. When she laughed it was like an explosion --you could not help but laugh with her. It was so contagious..so honest. Her heart was beautiful and always willing to give. She accepted people just as they were. It did not matter to her..and that is why one felt so at ease in her presence. People like that are rare, if non-exsistent.

There are a few forms of lupus. Cindy had the worst form in which the disease attacks different organs in one's body. I'm not sure of the other forms, but the one Cindy had is not contagious. It has to do with genetics. If you know someone with this form of lupus (I believe it's called systematic lupus), give them as much comfort, your presence, as possible. Don't be afraid to hug them or hold their hand...they need to know they will not suffer alone if the end should come. I thank God I got that one chance. I thank God I took it.

What's left? I feel bitter and angry and am in denial. Why do good people suffer? Cindy endured so much physical agony and for what? Nothing, no answer makes sense. It was out of my hands and what, if anything has this taught me? I know now what the most important thing in life is. It's not love. It's not power or status. It is something that many people realize too late in their elder years and few uncover in their youth.

IT IS TIME.

How do you spend it with your loved ones? How wisely do you use it? Do you take it for granted? Don't. We don't have forever. For time comes and passes by so quickly and never turnes back. IT NEVER TURNS BACK!!!

Share this wisdom with everyone, for they will become truely rich.

I love you and miss you so much it hurts...

It has been said that angels walk among us.....I need no futher proof.
