Most people don't realize, how their energy, affects others, or how other's energy affects them.....   A good example of this, is going to the grocery store.... I HATE going to the grocery store....   Too much energy going around... But empathic things set aside....   Next time you go in, notice what is going on around you....   Sometimes the overall energy in the store is good, and sometimes it is really terrible... It depends on the day...   But lets just for example sake say, that the day you go, the energy is overall, pretty good...   You are in a happy mood, you are chit chatting with the old guy in front of you in the line, who cant get over how much cat food you are buying, and you start to talk about your cats, and he lights up, and begins to talk about HIS pets....You see him begin to "light up" and his energy increases, and because you have increased HIS energy, your own energy increases.....you can feel the other people in line listening to you both, and can see slight smiles on their faces too....they too, pick up on the positive energy, and feel better also.... Than all of a sudden, this crabby stuck up high flalootin lady gets in line behind you....   You can tell she is in a hurry, and is aggravated.....and in a really bad mood. She doesn't want to be there, and she is making it known, by her body language and her attitude.   Scowling at you and the old man, and everyone else in line. Why is everyone so damn happy?? If SHE has to be miserable, than everyone else should be too!!!   The people in line, are beginning now to feel some kind of uneasiness, but they don't really know what it is exactly...they were feeling great a sec ago....   Than there is a problem 4 people up in line... there is no price, on something someone really wants....so the slow, lazy clerk, who is bagging, in a pain slow way, begins to lumber to the back of the store....to find the price....   You just KNOW he will be gone for awhile.... In the mean time, this negative energy woman is about ready to explode!!   She begins slowly, muttering "what the hell is wrong with these people??" Than she picks it up a bit speaking a bit louder:   "Why would someone pick up an item, and not check to make sure the price is on it.... People are such morons!"   Now the poor woman, who is embarrassed enough as it is, hears this loud and clear, and she begins to feel guilty and bad, as she looks at the long line behind her....   The conversation between you and the old guy, comes to an abrupt halt. All happiness and joy flee.   The people in line, are appalled, embarrassed, and feeling badly for the poor woman at the front of the line....they start to shuffle their feet...  The nasty woman becomes louder, and more aggravated...."What is WRONG with you people?? Don't you know I have places to go and things to do???"   In the mean time, the slow bagger finally comes back with a price....the woman who was waiting, silently takes her purchases, and with a reddened face, hurries from the store.... the clerk, is no longer cheerful and happy, and becomes mostly silent, only saying what she must.....thinking all of a sudden about how much she hates this job, and having to deal with people day in and day out.... the slow bagger has no clue what is going on... the people proceed now through the line... all thinking their own negative thoughts....   You pay for your purchases, and you leave the store, not understanding why all of a sudden you feel like shit, you feel tired, you feel drained....   The old man goes home, and just wants to go to bed, thinking he is too old, and his life isn't worth living anymore....   The woman who slowed up the line, goes home, and she is angry now, and frustrated, and she doesn't know why....her husband comes home from a hard day at work, and she bitches at him because he didn't fix this, and didn't do that do that.....the kids are asking too many questions, and she just doesn't have the patience for them tonight and snaps at them....   The kids go to bed, feeling like mommy doesn't love them, and they must have done something terribly wrong, and the husband is now mad, because he works hard to support the family and doesn't deserve to be treated this way.... and yells at his wife, she gets hurt, and a screaming contest ensues....she collapses in tears..... wondering how the hell everything could go so wrong.....   In the meantime, now, the clerk at the grocery store is in a really, bad mood.... hating her job, making it clear she doesn't want to be there....and her negative energy than goes on and affects everyone who comes thru her line until the end of her shift....   Not to mention, all the other people who were in line, when the incident happened, and what happened to all of them that day, and how many other people THEY affected, in their contacts the rest of the day..... I don't even have the imagination, for all of that.   What I wrote Drama? Yes Does it happen?? Think about it...... I know it does....   How one persons negativity, can affect so many others, and negativity SPREADS like a disease.....   Just like love, joy, and happiness, is contagious, so is negativity.....   That is why I think, we all need to be aware of our level of energy...whenever we are dealing with others.... every day, day in and day out.... because what ever our own energy is, it is going to have a ripple effect, either for good, or for bane......on everyone around us.   ~Tala 2007
