featuring CLEO the tuxedo cat & BEAU the Shih Tzu dog & RUDY & BRANDY the Persian cats

Karen a.k.a. Webtvgirl with 1st pet, "Miss CLEO the tuxedo cat" (age 5 here), in 1990. Got Cleo on March 23, 1985, who was a wee 8 weeks old. A free Sears 8 X 10 portrait.

"GOOD GIRL!" ALWAYS reward your pets for good behavior='positive reinforcement'...

"Touchy" Cleo...she would if I let her. She wishes!

Even at age 15, she's still goofily playful!

Cleo LOVES looking out the window on her stool, esp. the sunbeam.

Cleo caught a few rodents that broke in our apt. from next door! Luckily, I was able to catch her on the spot and take her to the toilet each time to command, "Drop it!" which took her approx. 5 minutes to relent! Then, I'd flush the mice away each time, as she watched them go down...YUCK! At first, I freaked because I was concerned about diseases, but happily, nothing happened to robust Cleo.

Cleo is VERY vocal. She talks all the time, and her voice imitates more than one cat vocalizing, as seen in the photo below!

Award-winning photo...

Food is very important to Cleo. As I pour dry good-quality food into her bowl, she does this springy jump approx. 1' off the ground (I'm holding her back w/ a struggle to control her impatience, of course)!

Peek-a-boo! Yoo-hoo, I can see you! Cleo LOVES to play hide & seek & touch: She hides for me to seek her (sometimes I can see her 2 pointy ears sticking out by the chair or her one eye peeking), then when she sees that I found her, she'd bop me hard (w/ her paws, no claws used)!

(never happened in our household, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a true story of experience by someone else! But, this goes to show how felines like Cleo, who loves to get into things while I'm sleeping! Yikes... wink)

Karen a.k.a. Shihtzugirl w/ baby Beau at 3 months...official adoption: December 2, 1992...

...side view.

Beau at 6 months posing next to his mommy, "Old Shanghai's Ko-De-Ko" (right) at breeder Debi Knapp's of Shanghai Shih Tzu kennel. (In pen is his half Aunt, Dandee (short for Dandelion), who's being prepped for her dog show appearance.)

Sad note: Mommy Kodee passed away on March 19, 1996. Cause...DIC (Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation); thickening-mass of bacteria spreading throughout her tissues & organs then eventually throughout her bloodstream. Age...only 6 years old. Her body systemically shut down after giving birth via C-section to another litter, actually after one of her sutures broke, and Debi took her back to her veterinarian, where Kodee eventually died under anesthesia while the vet was repairing her torn suture. Boy, if it weren't for that broken stitch, Kodee would be here today. I guess her body couldn't handle any more anesthesia. She was very popular among Debi's Tzus and was known for her trademark long tongue, as seen here. I adored her pleasant personality. She is devastatingly missed...

...and here's Beau's Aunt Gabee & his daddy (right), Budy ("Icheban's This Buds for U"), a stud dog, is owned by Lin Saunders of Icheban's kennel.

Photo submitted by Debi Knapp (a 1992 professional portrait color copy).

Karen a.k.a. Shihtzugirl & BEAU,CGC,TDI,Assistance Dog (AKC-registered name as "Taco Bello"). Beau is 13 months here, to celebrate his turning 1 year in excellent health. Got him at 3 months old. 8 X 10 1993 Moto Photo portrait (I thought of this pose just to show how big / how small Beau is...some people don't know what a Shih Tzu is or look like).

Beau going through the "chrysanthemum" (flower head) stage at 5˝ months old; I was looking forward to his hair becoming a classic Shih Tzu look...his hair remains at its longest today...NO haircut, and I do all the grooming! Setting: public park for lunch while our apartment was fumigated.

Beau's doghouse is actually a make-shift fashion: a foldable cot placed under my end table in the living room!

Beau's favorite toy is a bone-shaped lambskin toy.

Beau got a USA-made rawhide bone for Xmas, that I let him lick only until it got soft, then I disposed of it so that no piece ended up in his tummy.

"We get along!"

"And, thanks for looking through our photo album. Hope you enjoyed it!"

And, [drumroll] introducing new kitty, RUDY!

Rudy at 16 months old from Purrydaze Persians cattery / Jenni Markey on February 21, 2001. Born: October 21, 1999. He's neutered & declawed (fronts) by previous owner (Heather & husband) who adopted him from Purrydaze at 2 months old and returned him to Purrydaze a year later, due to fear of acquiring Toxoplasmosis while Heather became pregnant. He's bicolor red / white with big copper eyes. Check out his Page below for more on him, including his pedigree.

And, [drumroll] introducing another new kitty, BRANDY!

Brandy at at least 5 years old from Petfinder / Sonora Veterinary Specialists' Animal Rescue Center on June 24, 2004. Born: June 22, 1999 (actual birthdate unknown. I decided to pick this date to match official adoption date of June 22, 2004). She's an AZ Humane Society rescue from an infamous indoor Persian kitty mill, a story which was featured in the AZ Republic newspaper, as well as the local Phoenix news stations. She's spayed & not declawed. She's a 'show style' peke-faced cream flamepoint with crystal blue eyes. Check out her Page below for more on her.

I guess I'm a "webhead" if I enjoy making online colorful photo albums about my pets! (Yes, I'm done...thanks for your time...possibly more to come...The End...)
