IOWA SKIES

------My video camera was set up on a tri-pod just under the eaves of the house during early morning. The white object in the upper right side was actually a shining silver as it entered from the right. Within the total time of 1 1/2 seconds it appeared to flare before "disappearing." The filming technique is called sun obliteration.

Aug 2001 Busy Day in the Sky

The following frames were taken from an hour long video on a 1990's video camcorder in Aug of 2001. At the time I didn't know I'd caught another craft on film.
At the first part of the film, I was amazed to find it had captured the shiny object just minutes earlier.
As a reference to the following shots, I tilted the camera up at about 1 o'clock in the sky. (not the time of day). And was focusing the lens above a 12 foot wall.

The dark object crossed over head from the upper left of the screen moving away from the camera, and it appears to arch down but actually is traversing above out of sight as the camera was fliming, in the straight up angle facing North-East.

Many times I tried to catch a still of it entering the frame, to post it here, but as quickly as I tried to capture a still, the object was half way down the screen! I gave up.
The object took less than 5 seconds to traverse the sky...there is no motion what ever of a bird...just a fast steady motion as it cruised out of sight.
And it's shape throughout its flight is consistantly round.
And another discovery in this shot is a white dot above it to the upper left corner. Many faint obs were filmed throughout the time period, barely visible as white opaque objects bobbing across the sky.

Filming took place about 10am.

There's an extra bonus in this shot. A white disc is captured in the upper left corner of the photo and another faint orb close by.
