"Everything has a voice that wants to be heard." ~ A Native American Saying

Just after Christmas, Sandi, Steve, Melody, Doug and I went to see AVATAR.
Well, it spoke to us in volumes and explains much of what is in this website.
We are connected to all life and have significant impact on this planet as we use it and all its resources.

It's been said that one person cannot change the world but we must change within ourselves and then like the butterfly effect principle, the World Spirit responds.

The world has it's own mission and it's own meaning which escapes most people caught up in the 3-D world of tangibles and the illusions of realtiy.

If we look at the world with typical vision we can feel out of touch and vulnerable, a speck in the sea of humanity collectively.
It's when we learn to listen and peer deep into the essense of nature that we begin to learn the power behind appearances.
It's then that we can find the secret pathways that can literally lead us to safety and wellbeing and a sense of connection with the greater whole.

Mother Earth takes on a new warmth of nurturing. Nature begins to respond to our attention and belief. Feelings fill in where words fail. And, we know we are not alone or adrift without support and guidance. In essense, there is only God..in IT's many forms waiting to teach us the deeper meaings of LIFE.

My personal experience of connecting with nature is at the bottom of this page.
Hope you enjoy it.

The story goes something like this:
Peter wired up his philodendrum
with sensory pads and began creating experiments to use and testing plant reactions with a type of lie detector graph. He had no idea what to expect from this adventure...and he was amazed.

He discovered that plants could tell when people were lying...remembered someone in an experiment who had murdered a plant...went off the scale when there was romantic endeavors in the house and fainted if the "intention" was to do harm to it.
It could even receive his thoughts about it when he was away on vacation.and looked at a picture of the plant..(the plant still wired up to the graph)...and didn't like it when food was cooked...it would spike when an egg was dropped in a hot skillet.

You have no doubt heard about playing music for your plants...that classical music makes them happy
and acid/heavy metal irritates them....

When a disease has infected trees, miles away, other trees begin changing their chemistry to defend themselves from the blight.

"The Magic Of Findhorn"
by Paul Hawken
........................................
‘‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’’‘’’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘

This is a biography of the three founders of the Findhorn Community, Peter and Eileen Caddy and friend, Dorothy Maclean in the early 1970's.

The "Magic" became reality when through meditation they began channeling information from the Devas
of the plant world. They also received
the secrets of manifesting what they needed through disciplined thought and following through with guidance received.

It was a blessing of survival for these three individuals down on their luck..living in a small caravan on the harsh shore lines of northern Scotland.

The results were quite astounding,

Today, their legacy is an international ecological community. Every year thousands of seekers journey to Findhorn to attend workshops teaching a new life style and ecological change through working with nature.

Eilene Caddy penned many books of channeling beginning in the 1970's.
All three have passed away. Eilene was the last to cross over in 2007.

PLANTING THE NATIVE WAY

THE MYSTERIOUS PLANT WORLD

GROWING YOUR OWN

This is the time to begin taking stock of what you have in your frig and cupboards that really matters.
You can eat much less and maintain good health if what you eat is a store house of nutrients.

I wish to make it clear that I am not attempting to teach anything new to the experienced gardner..but am speaking to the "newbie"..much like myself..I hope you know people who do garden and can gain expert advice from them.

THE GARDEN

The three sisters
take up little space in a sunny area. This arrangement conserves water and space and controls weeds.
It's wise to start with organic or heritage seeds. And save back seeds from your harvest for future planting.
The three sisters are corn, beans and squash. The link provided will give complete instructions.

Sunflowers
These produce huge heads filled with seeds.
The kernals I call Sunshine Packets..
They are hardy and grow easily in most soil and don't take a lot of care.
Eaten with organic rasins..they are a real sunshine load of energy.

I found green beans to be very productive in my little four foot by six inche space I provided for them. Had enough for three meals!! well...I was surprised to find how much one little plant produces.
I'm experimenting with raised bed and what is called "postage stamp" gardening.
I have a small back yard and somewhat shady...

INDOOR GARDENING
Grow lights may be of help with some of the things one can grow indoors. This can add growing space in basements.

Sprouted wheat is made into Ezekeil 4:9 bread and sun baked. Much can be grown in window sills, etc.
Herbs can also be grown indoors.

It's a good idea to store in dry containers things like nuts and seeds....dry goods that don't need cooking nor much, if any, water added. Organic canned goods.
Soy, almond, and rice milks in cartons are shelf friendly. Prefer glass storage if possible..as plastic has it's own problems.

With winter coming, storms the norm, possible repeat power outages, one needs to be prepared. Take it from the squirrels and racoons...store up what keeps and if you can't wash it in (vinegar) water, don't eat it.

THE COMPOST
Returning to nature is a gift and beneficial.
A compost creates rich soil to use in your little garden spaces. Simply save the raw organic food scraps from meal prepping.
Use a spade and turn the scraps into the soil in your compost ...add a little water...
Mine turns out finished soil within a week or two.
Have learned however, that root peelings from potatoes and carrots, etc.; don't decompose well because they are adept at being "buried".. ha.
There are many simple books or leaflets about composting that are easy to follow.

THE HUMAN VS.
THE AUTOMOBILE
çİç°çİç–çİç°çİç°çİç°çİç

The grain required to fill a 25-gallon SUV tank with ethanol would feed one person for a year.

A 4 liter, naturally aspirated (no turbocharger) car engine running at 2500 rpm will consume 5,000 liters of air per minute, while a person at rest will breathe 6-8 liters of air per minute. Thus the statement that a car burns as much oxygen in a minute as a family of five breathes in a day is reasonably accurate.

RECYCLING PLANTS
ĈĈŒĈŒĈŒĈŒĈŒĈŒĈŒĈŒĈ|

As the earth changes and the economy buckles and we find ourselves having to learn how to balance more independently, there are ways to reconnect to the earth and hopefully, be guided and nurtured.

Composting is an old method of rejuvenating the earth, using raw food scraps and coffee grounds.

It takes only a small space to do this and a bag of soil if one is in a limited place.
You can use a bucket or tub and place it on a deck or patio...add some water and turn it occasionally and rich potting soil will manifest within a few weeks. Infact if you go out hunting with a small spade in search of a worm or two...you will be rich in treasure.
Or
A small space in your back yard that gets a bit of sunlight will do...add a fence on three sides to hold the dirt..or use blocks or boards as barriers. I can get rich dirt within two weeks or one week depending on they size and type of scraps I put into it.

With this, you herbs or vegies will be robust.
And of course, talk to your plants or if you are shy, just focus your attention on them when ever you are aware of them..this really helps.

Think of this:
Most weight in one garbage bag is from table scraps and cuttings ...if you cook from scratch and buy whole produce.
Ours is...and so especially in the spring and summer, using a compost is ecologically sound and beneficial..

Community Gardens are developing all over the country. Joining one is a good way
to insure that you will have a food source connection. And it is an opportunity to make new friends.
The more of these that develop, the more likely we will have a smoother transition with the state of the economy and earth changes..

Buy local and support Organic.

WILD PLACES
~>>>>@<<<<~
The "Elementals" like it very much if you leave a wild space for them in your domain.
It doesn't have to be big...only just a small space that usually is left to them....some weeding occasionally but perferably where perenials grow and little disturbance, off from the "beaten path."

Use stepping stones in areas around this to prevent damage to growing things is a conscious intention that is "received"..

"Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground."

THE LOVING WOODS
.....................................
‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘

It was the summer of 1998 that five of us read and traded the same books to have a base of common interest and knowledge...We read
Findhorn Gardens,
Elves of Lillyhill Farm,
Black Dawn-Bright Day,
Rain Forest in Your Kitchen.

By the end of a month, our heads were swimming and absorbing what is it to be in touch with nature and the essense of life.

During that time,
Sandi and I went out to the country to meet Albert to look at a small acreage for sale. It was obvious this land had not been touched for many years, if at all!
While they were immediately walking around looking and talking,
I stopped at the edge of the grounds and said a prayer of respect for what was there...that, ' my intention was peace and love and would like to enjoy it's beauty.'

When entering, I began looking carefully as I went, so as not to tread on delicate flowers, and ground covers.
It took a little bit of time to get through the place and down through the deep gullies and thickets of wild berries.

Finaly I found a spot that I especially liked which seemed like a natural clearing and sat on a fallen tree.

I imagined a cute little cob house with a carefully crafted pathway to its door....then realized how difficult it would be to build even a small house there without disturbing the natural beauty.

I "thought" to the lifeforce of the forest that I would not want to hurt anything there, but how nice it would be to have a lovely little house there and share its beauty.

It was time to go and I carefully chose my path back to the others, who were by now, close to the edge of the property.
As we were leaving I started to speak to Sandi when I received the biggest jolt of love energy into my heart chakra!!

It was so intense that I was emotionally not able to hold it all. Sandi and Albert waited patiently as I moved through the flood of love filled tears. I thanked the lifeforce with my love-filled feelings/energy....and we left...
Albert bought the land.

---------------------
Update 1.
---------------------
Within the year, Albert was able to purchase the land.
With a vision, he contracted to have two ponds put in...transforming the ravenes into water sheds....but things went wrong from the beginning.
The bulldozers came in and most of the trees were taken out of the front half of the land.
The major pond wouldn't hold and flooded. The second pond silted up with in months..

Sandi and I went out to see the results.
It was barren in most of the front with a few trees standing starkly by the front of the road..

The land felt sullen and broken..I sat on the scraped raw dry dirt. There was no response. Albert was visibly upset.
"well Albert, it will take some time for this to heal." "yeh," he said, "I didn't think the bulldozers would do this much damage."
For several years there was a For Sale sign on the frontage road. No buyers.

---------------------------
Update 2. (1/06)
...............................

We had a party and Albert came to town to join us and friends.. I asked how things were going out at the 'place'.
He's planning to build his burm house.
Sadly, he said, as he waved his arm like spreading over everything," The ponds have farm chemicals in them now. That's what happens when you're next to a farm."
I was really sad to hear that..he had the ponds stocked with fish. Now I worry about his living in a place that is sprayed with chemical vapors every season.

And the sweet land....with it's love and gratitude....unrecognized but by three of us. Sad. So goes the world.

----------------------------------
Love is everywhere
if you just look for it
.......................................

If you have a small area of earth, make a sacred space in it..no matter how small....and bless it. Give Gratitude. Give it flowers, love offerings, extra water with blessings......Let love form and live in this little treasure of space.

When you feel love for the life force in a garden or city park or special place, it resonates with you. This love and it's response energizes both you and the nature spirits of the place, and in turn, anyone else who also enters or passes through that place receives a subtle benefit.

And you connect with the "Heart" of that city or region. It becomes a connection to 'home'.

More can come from that connection if it is nutured and remembered.
It is "the time to remember."
