March 1st, 2006 Once again, I have been honored by my buddy, Jay Jay. He has returned!!!!!! We first met in the summer of '03, he left the area in Sept. and returned in April '04. As shown in the following pages, he rejoined me in my walks in the dunes, on March 9th, 2005. I don't know where he goes each September, but it creates a joyous moment when he returns in the Spring!!! I have carried the bottle of sunflower seeds in my photo kit, all winter --

I had been walking far out in the dunes when I saw a bird approaching, he did not stop on a dune or a bush, he went directly to my hand! Just by chance, I had been munching on some peanuts ---
