I was born in Elkhart, Indiana and lived the first ten years of my life in Goshen, Indiana, which is just 10 miles south of the Michigan line.       The streets downtown were paved with brick, there was a fantastic fountian on the courthouse lawn of Neptune that I adored, Amish horse and buggies were a daily part of the traffic, and I had a secret place behind the hedge where I could play, just inches from the people walking by on there way to the doctor's office or my mom's beauty shop on the second floor.      There were 21 steps leading up to that second floor, lots of fun for a bored little kid (until the doctor's office complained about the noise caused by jumping up and down the stairs!) and a really cool place to have a slinky.       The ladies trapped under the hairdryers were always available for tea parties.  My Barbie's had the latest fashions cause Moma was a genius with a sewing machine and loved designing clothes, especially wedding gowns.

Daddy was a disabled WW II vet and had lots of brothers and sisters who lived in and around town.      Sundays usually found us all at somebody's house for a potluck dinner, with the kids playing made up games, while the grownups played cards and knocked on the table and hollered "trump" and "pass".      Moma left my Daddy when I was 10, and off we went to Texas with a man I wish my mom had never met.      The next three years were spent moving about Texas, with stops in Arizona and New Orleans.

When I was 13 we came to Winter Haven, Florida and I buried my feet in the sand and refused to budge!  LOL  I have been here 31 years now, living in the same house for the past 25.           I am an only child. All those uncles and aunts are long gone, the cousins lost and forgotten.

I have 2 children, Jamie Joshua and Shasta Michelle. I first married at the age of 16, eloping to evade a home life I am going to leave out of this biography. My children belong to my first husband and we were married 10 years.      My second husband is a nephew of the first. I got tired of saying no and finally said yes. *shrug*  We were married 8 years.      Both men are now married with children, and probably relieved to have survived the experience.  LOL

My third venture shocked everyone around me, and was something I wish I had been ALLOWED to pursue from childhood.       Sherry and I have been together 10 years, and agree we will disagree until death do us part.      If there is a child in your life who exhibits homosexual tendencies PLEASE nurture that child, and allow them to find their own way in life.      We all need to learn appropriate behavior, but we also need to be true to our innerself.

I also have 3 grandchildren from my son and his wife.      Jamie Joshua Jr. age 7, Johnathon Jacob age 5, and Ashley Nicole, my "Angel Princess" age 3.      They have been living with me just over a year now and I am trying to get permanent custody of them.      Mom and Dad show signs of never growing up, and these kids deserve a much better life than what they have had so far.  They are a blessing, a joy, and alot more work for Nana!

Suddenly having 3 small children is a huge life altering event!       Bathing them all seperately was such an ordeal, I decided to make it work for me, and created a bath assembly line.      Bath time is now fun for them, quicker and easier for me, and the floor sees lots of soap and water!

If you have seen the Precious Babies pages, you know I have ALOT of animals also.       I just love cats! I would have more if I could, and may sneak another one or two in as time goes by.      I am partial to German Shepherds and we currently have 3.      I AM A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER!       All my animals are up to date on their shots and tags, have premuim food and fresh water everyday, have been spayed or neutured, will NEVER be declawed, and have a home here until they die.      They will never know what it is like to live on the end of a rope or chain, or wonder where their next meal is coming from. They are all treated with Frontline and the dogs also have Heartguard every month, and each and every one knows this is a house filled with love.      A little crowded maybe, hairy for sure, but spilling over with comfort and love for all those within it's boundaries.

I love to read, but don't find much time for that anymore! Stephen King and Anne Rice are my favorite authors.      I enjoy the PC and rely on my friends thru email and the forum to bring some adult communications into my life, and help me keep my sanity sometimes.      I also enjoy movies, and have been watching alot more ANIMATED ones lately!  LOL

I work loading trucks for Walmart at a grocery distribution center.      I love the company and enjoy working there. I am in a department where I am currently the only woman. :)      That means I don't have many intelligent conversations, but when I run into trouble there are lots of willing  hands to help out.       Walmart has a philosophy that it insists it's associates follow, and that just makes it a nice place to work.      The benefits are good, and the pay at the DC ensures that I am able to take good care of my large interspecies family.

I am 44 years old, but am often told I don't look it. That's cause the fat stretches out the wrinkles, and the hair is whatever color I want it to be.      My eyes are brown and my best feature.  I like Pop music, but have a soft spot for 70's and 80's.      I quit smoking 5 years ago and wish everyone around me would too! :)  IT STINKS!
